Crescent Rolls


Preheat oven to 400, 20 minutes before rolls are ready to bake.

1/2 c milk
1/3 c sugar (I half honey half sugar)
1 t salt
1 c butter
3 T yeast
1/2 c warm water
2 eggs
4 1/4 c flour

-scald the milk and add the sugar, salt, and butter (cool to lukewarm)
-dissolve yeast in water.
-Add milk mixture to yeast mixture, eggs and half the flour and beat until smooth.
-Add in the rest of the flour and mix to make a soft dough
-Knead either by hand for ten minutes or in a machine with a dough hook for 4-5
-let dough rise for one hour (covered)
-Divide the dough into quarters and shape them into four circles each about 1/8 of an inch.
-Cut the circles into eight wedge each and roll them up forming crescent rolls
-Cover and let them rise about an hour and then bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
