So, my FAVE fourth of July fare starts with these baked beans. Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy. My husband, Brandon's cousin's wife gave me this recipe. Absolutely supurb! Luckily I got it before they moved off to the middle of the USA. Try this one. It is good in either a crockpot or the oven. Either way, it is sure to become a staple at all your barbeque functions!
Baked Beans (of superb greatness...)
½ pound ground beef
½ pound bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, minced
1 medium onion, minced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
16-oz can red kidney beans, drained
16-oz can pork and beans, drained
15-oz. can butter beans

Funny thing, I always think these have sausage in them so I always brown-up 1/2 lb of sausage and dump it in the crockpot and then look at the recipe and go whoops. Always. But they always turn out great so I go with it. Double the meat I guess.
