Aunt Jill's Breadsticks

Wow I can't believe this one hasn't been posted yet, but I am putting it up because I recently made them for a party and had so many requests for the recipe.

Scald:
1/2 cup of milk
2 t salt
3 T sugar
3 T butter

Soak:
1 T of yeast in 1 1/2 cup of warm water

Add Scalded mixture to mixer with two cups of flour
Add yeast/water to mixer
Gradually add 3 -3 1/2 more cups of flour as it mixes.... you want this mixture to be sticky for best results. Beat 3-5 minutes.
Roll out the dough into 4-6 inch long bread sticks that are about an inch in diameter. Dip these in melted butter, then roll them in parmesean cheese and place on cookie sheet. I like to place them just close enough that when they raise they are touching.

Let raise for 30 minutes.
Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes.
Makes one cookie sheet.

Enjoy!

Ironically, I just made these the other day as well and went to put the recipe on here, but then got distracted. Glad you did it for me. So yummy!
