Mrs. Fields' Chocolate Chip Cookies

My mom is an amazing cookie-maker, and these cookies (in my opinion) are her best. If you make them right, these should be the best cookies you've had in a long time (or maybe ever). Make sure the butter is soft, not half melted, and don't overcook the cookies. Underdone is way better than overdone.

2 c. soft butter

2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
4 c. regular oatmeal
1 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 8 oz. milk chocolate Hershey bar, chopped (or chopped chocolate chips)

Pre-heat oven to 350ยบ. Cream together sugars and butter. Add eggs, vanilla, salt, baking soda, baking powder, flour, and oatmeal. Mix in chocolate chips and chopped chocolate. Roll dough into golf ball-sized balls. Place them on a cookie sheet and press the tops down slightly. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Small tidbit of info, if you make these, don't double them unless you planning on feeding 100 people. They make a lot. definetely good though, so we don't mind the leftovers.
