Oreo Brownies

These don't really have a name, per say, but these are brownies - my way. Years back they sold a box mix for oreo bars: so yummy! They stopped selling them but my craving never went away. This is the version we made up to replicate it. It has evolved a little. Everyone loves these and thinks they are so gourmet. I always laugh at peoples reactions when I tell them how I "made" them.

1 box of your favorite brownie mix (we like betty crocker fudge brownie mix)
2-3 cups crushed oreos
hot fudge sauce (not chocolate sauce - real hot fudge)
powdered sugar frosting (if you don't know how to do this I have included a "recipe")

Make up your box of brownie mix exactly to the specifications on the box and put them in the oven for 10 minutes shy of the total cooking time. While they bake, heat up your hot fudge sauce - you will only need about 1/3-1/2 cup, spoon the hot fudge sauce into a snack sized ziploc. Spoon your frosting into a snack sized ziploc as well. (To make frosting, combine 1 Tbs softened butter with 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and enough milk to make it smooth, about 2-3 TBS)
When your timer dings for your brownies, pull them out of the oven and sprinkle your crushed oreos on top. (You don't want your oreos in powder form, think of cutting each oreo in 6 pieces, that is the size you are going for) Return your brownies to the oven and cook for the remaining 10 minutes, or until they are done.
When your brownies come out of the oven you are ready to drizzle them with your hot fudge and frosting. Snip a small piece off the corner of your ziploc bag and drizzle. Then you are ready to take them to a party and impress all your friends!
