2 baskets strawberries
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons corn starch
Mash and cook 1 ½ baskets strawberries. Mix together sugar and cornstarch. Add to strawberries. Bring to boil and boil for 1 minute. Cool. Put half of mixture in baked pie shell. Slice the remaining ½ basket of strawberries and put on top of filling in pie pan. Add remaining mixture. Chill. (You may need to make the corn starch heaping tablespoonfuls).
